COVID-19 Statement from Occupational Health

The University of Arizona department of Occupational Health serves our campus community to assess, monitor, and evaluate our employees and students related to their occupational health risks. Our department is not designated for acute illness examination and treatment outside of occupational health concerns. Therefore, we cannot provide diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.

If you have a scheduled appointment with the Occupational Health Department and you notice you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please contact our office PRIOR to your appointment for further instructions (520-621-5643):

fever or chills
cough
chest pain
shortness of breath
headache
sore throat
muscle aches
vomiting
diarrhea
abdominal discomfort
new loss of taste or smell
In addition, if you have had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) with an individual with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 diagnosis please contact our office prior to your appointment.

If you notice that you have developed any of the symptoms listed above, please seek evaluation and treatment with your primary care provider. If you do not have a primary care provider you may be evaluated for diagnosis or treatment at an urgent care or at the University of Arizona’s Campus Health Department.

CAOHC recommends the suspension of Audiometric testing until medical facilities are advised to resume normal operational conditions in accordance with Federal, state, and local public health authorities
